There are many physical, and mental health benefits to dancing, but one of the things we enjoy most about dancing, and that keeps our students coming back, is that it’s fun!

As a family owned and operated business, we see our students as an extension of our family – the Dancemore Family.

We introduced you to some of our instructors in previous blogs, and we would also like to introduce you to some other members of our Dancemore Family – our students. Which is why we’ll be doing a series of blogs posts focusing on our students.

Our hope is that these blogs will be an opportunity for students, and instructors, to get to know each other a little better and to showcase the wonderful family that we have!

Today we introduce you to…

Kirsten and Abrie Gunningham live in Germiston and attend intermediate lessons at our Bedfordview Studio.

Originally, they started dance classes in preparation for their wedding, but ended up enjoying class so much that they’ve continued attending our group classes.

They have fun in the lessons, and find them a great way to forget everything else that’s going on. Laughing at themselves, when they make mistakes, is a great stress reliever, and their classmates provide entertainment too.

Kirsten is a fan of the upbeat Latin American dances; especially the Cha Cha and Mambo. Abrie favourites are the Waltz and Quickstep.

They are both quite active. Abrie loves to cook and Kirsten loves to eat. They also like collecting wine, and drinking it, of course. They also both enjoy travelling.

See you on the dance floor, Kirsten and Abrie!

Hopefully we’ll see YOU on the dance floor soon!
