A lovely, Highveld, summer’s evening formed the backdrop for our last dance social of 2022.
Another year has flown by, but we’re all happier, healthier and more connected thanks to our time together on the dance floor this year!
Socials form an important part of the learning experience because this is where students get to apply their knowledge in real life conditions – a busy dance floor with a range of dancers with differing skill levels.
It’s this regular practice that allows students to develop automaticity which means it becomes an ingrained habit that you don’t have to think about. Like how you can drive without thinking about every move.
Of course, the first and most important part of every social is to have fun! And we think it’s safe to say that we overachieved in this department at this social!
Our thanks to John & Maryna, from our beginners-intermediate class, for adding to the festivities with their sweet donation of cupcakes from their company, Cherrylane Bakery!
Naturally, none of this would be possible without our wonderful students – our newbies, advanced and all the members of the extended Dancemore family! Thank you for showing up, for stepping up and out onto the dance floor!
